Mail In Your Toastmasters Club Dues
Now that we have conducted our last club meeting of the month, if you want to keep your Toastmasters club membership active, you must mail in your dues to our treasurer, Mei Yee. She will send out an email to confirm this again shortly. There will be some really exciting things happening in the near future at our Comfortably Speaking Toastmasters club like more educational modules as well as Clint doing his full motivational keynote on success. So keep your membership active by making sure that Mei Yee receives your cheque before the end of the month.

Success In College and University Article
For those of you who know of students attending college or university, you just might want to alert them to the following article simply called Success in College and University. Life in college or university should not just be on studying. There are other things to do not only for fun, but for picking up important skills that will be useful for future careers and life in general. Many of these skills cannot be learned in the classroom or lecture hall. Overall success in college or university involves a balance. And for the rest of us, this same type of balance should be with us for life. That's why it is important to get these college kids into the right habit early. Check out the article for more on this.

What Is Emotional Intelligence?
I was astounded to hear that only about 15% of the general population has high emotional intelligence. And this figure has nothing to do with general intelligence, wealth or education. The last fact I wasn't surprised with since I have come across many smart people who have trouble managing their emotions. In fact, this doesn't depend on the level of awards one has achieved at Toastmasters either!
But the 15% figure is shocking but maybe indicates that we all need more training on emotional intelligence, especially in order to be successful in life since success often depends on so much on how we interact with others. Here's a good article on emotional intelligence.
