Will Be A Long Toastmasters Day

Tomorrow will be a long Toastmasters day for some of us.  I'm going to help run our club meeting on Saturday morning and then immediately afterwards, rushing to the club officer training event to present my workshop in the afternoon.  But it's all good since it's another opportunity to see good people at Toastmasters again.  This will likely be my final club officer training workshop presentation since I have to devote more time to my professional speaker career.

Return Visit To Montreal Toastmasters

I did my full keynote at one of the Montreal Toastmasters clubs I use to go to when I first started out.  Many of my Montreal Toastmasters friends were there and it was interesting for them to see my development over the years.  They had seen me from my start and now they got to see my full professional speaker keynote.

Toastmasters Club Elections This Saturday

Don't forget that we will have our Toastmasters club elections this Saturday as part of our club meeting.  It will be interesting to see how our new executive will shape up for the new TM year starting July 1.  Get ready to nominate another member or yourself for any of the officer positions.  But again, all elected officers must be committed to attend the district club officer training on June 6 (or an alternative makeup date) and attend most of our monthly exec meetings.  I will not run for any officers positions since I have to put time into my professional speaker career but will remain as past president available for consult as well as webmaster for the immediate future.

Toronto Professional Speaker Hopes To Impact Students

Toronto professional speaker and karate world champion Clint Cora, hopes to positively impact Toronto area high school students with a specially developed keynote presentation for youth and teens. He will likely start in the region of Peel first since that is the area he is based. Of course, he welcomes other local school boards to connect with him to discuss how he can help influence the students to choose positive lifestyle and career decisions. Clint is a member of Comfortably Speaking Toastmasters in Mississauga.

A Benefit For Advanced Toastmasters

One of the benefits for even advanced Toastmasters members become apparent last night.  As a new DTM, I went to a Toastmasters club I have never been to in order to perform my 15 minute motivational speech there.  Among the audience members was professional speaker Judy Suke, who gave me some awesome feedback to help my in my development towards a 60 minute keynote speech.  This shows that there is always someone to help you develop at Toastmasters no matter what level you are at.  All of this help I get of course will only help my better serve our own members at Comfortably Speaking Toastmasters club.
