College Speaker Clint Cora Enhances Campus Diversity Program

College speaker Clint Cora enhanced his college campus diversity program to reflect the current needs of the audience. This is something that all speakers should keep in mind when creating or updating their speeches or speaking programs. The fact in the college scene is that many students worry about finding their first big career jobs after graduation. So Clint added a job hunting component in his college diversity program to help students with great tips on resumes, job interviews and networking given this new world of diversity. This is making diversity skills practical. See the new description of his college speaking programs.

Use Diversity Success Stories In Job Interviews

I spoke at an executive networking meeting this morning at the Metro Toronto Convention Ctr and did my 'Kick Down Diversity Barriers For Success' presentation. Again, one of the tips I gave them was to be proactive and use diversity success stories in job interviews. Many companies want people who can work well with many types of people, ie., have great diversity skills. To talk about your past successes with diversity will really make you stand above the rest of the job market crowd since most of your competitors wouldn't even be thinking about talking about diversity during a job interview or an interview for a promotion to a more senior position. For more details on this area, see Diversity In Job Interviews.

Using Diversity In Job Interviews

Recently when I presented 'Kick Down Diversity Barriers For Success' for an executive networking group, I suggested to them that one of the most powerful strategies that can be used during job interviews either externally (for new positions) or internally (for job promotions) involves diversity skills. The group thought that was the most important learning point for them. So I decided to write a new article based on this strategy of using diversity skills in job interviews. College and university grads will be able to use this strategy as well.
