Toastmasters: Bigger and Better!
The results are in, and our membership has grown! With more than 262,000 members in over 12,500 clubs, Toastmasters International is helping more people than ever before. Despite the difficult economy, the organization is providing ever-expanding services in 113 countries.
Lakeview Toastmasters is having a BBQ on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at J.C. Saddington Park, 53 Lake Street, South of Lakeshore Road and Mississauga Road. Cost: $10 per adult and $5 per child, 12 years of age and under. Admission includes 2 hamburgers or hotdogs and drinks. Vegetarian burgers and hotdogs are available. Confidently Speaking Toastmasters has sent a proclamation on behalf of all of the Mississauga Clubs to Mayor McCallion to ask that the month of October be recognized as Toastmasters Month. The desired outcome is the following:
• Raise awareness of Toastmasters with City residents.
• Communicate the Toastmasters mission and values.
