Hotel Rwanda Movie and Rwandan Genocide

I just saw the movie Hotel Rwanda this weekend which was about how a hotel manager saved the lives of hundreds of people during the Rwandan genocide. The movie and some subsequent online research finally gave me a better understanding of what happened during this terrible period in Rwanda. It's absolutely incredible and sad how such a thing can still happen in modern times. We would think that our capacity to hate and discriminate should be diminished in humanity by now but looks like that's not the case unfortunately. This is yet another reason why diversity education is so important in our society so that something as horrible as the Rwandan genocide never happens again. At least this movie made me feel good that I as a human being, am doing something good for society by promoting and speaking on diversity.
